I’ve tried to stay afar off,
But the tide’s so swift and strong.
I’m caught in its undercurrent,
And I know it won’t be long
‘Til I’m sucked in by this whirlpool
And swirled deeply down inside;
There’s no place to get my footing,
And my anchor’s come untied.
Now this raging chocolate river
With it’s whirlpool grips me strong,
Sucking me into its abyss.
Now my diet’s gone — long gone.

Love it – the poem and chocolate, too. Guess it’s a Whirlpool week instead of Maytag. I posted a haiku about a whirlpool this week: https://thebardonthehill.wordpress.com/2018/02/21/melted-mix-haiku-by-dennis-allen-lange/
